Italian Ranch Pan Fried Tilapia
This delightfully simple little recipe for pan fried tilapia is just what the family will want to order right from the first time you make it. Even if you don't like fish you will love this pan fried tilapia recipe for its distinct flavors and its lite taste not to heavy when your in the mood to have something lite to eat.
Ingredients -
1 pound Tilapia Fillets
1 oz. Package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
¾ cup Italian Style Dry Bread Crumbs
2½ tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (cold pressed)
½ teaspoons Granulated Garlic
⅛ teaspoons White Pepper
2 teaspoons Canola Oil
Preparation:
In a shallow bowl place the Italian style bread crumbs and set a side for now. In another bowl mix the package Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix with the garlic and the white pepper to well blended. Next add the extra virgin olive oil and mix into a paste.
Take and rinse your Tilapia fillets under cold water and pat mostly dry with a paper towel. Then take your ranch paste and coat the Tilapia with the mixture spreading as evenly as possible. Once done take the Tilapia fillet and press into the Italian bread crumbs patting lightly to give a light coating of the crumbs.
Place the canola oil into a skillet and heat to medium making sure the oil coats the entire pan. Gently place the fillets into the skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side or till the Tilapia is a nice golden brown and flacks with a fork easily.
Serve with a long grain wild rice with mushrooms and your favorite green vegetable.
Serve with a sweet white wine.
